The Law Firm of Cashe, Lewis, Coudrain & Sandage

Rodney C. Cashe, a native of Baton Rouge, followed a business law curriculum at Louisiana State University before entering LSU Law School in 1969. When he graduated and was admitted to practice in 1972, he joined the Hammond firm Mentz & Ford as an associate. Two years later upon the election of Leon Ford, III as District Judge, Rodney C. Cashe and Henry A. Mentz, Jr created the firm of Mentz & Cashe, where he remained until 1981. In 1981 Rodney Cashe continued as a sole practitioner for five years until he and Andre G Coudrain, formed the firm of Cashe & Coudrain which in January 1989, merged with the firm of Lewis & Moody. The new firm of Cashe Lewis Coudrain & Sandage was established in 2002.

Rodney has served the Hammond community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Hammond Chamber of Commerce, Southeastern Louisiana University Development Foundation, the Downtown Development District and as President of the Hammond Exchange Club. He is currently a board member of the Hammond-Tangipahoa Home Mortgage Authority.

Professionally, Rodney has held every office of the 21st Judicial District Bar Association comprising attorneys from Tangipahoa, Livingston and St. Helena Parishes, serving as its President in 1980-1982. He has also represented the 21st Judicial District as delegate to the Louisiana Bar Association. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the 21st Judicial District Indigent Defender Board. He is an active member of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Louisiana Bankers Association/Bank Counsel Section. Rodney is also a Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Association and a founding member of the 21st Judicial District Inns of Court.

Areas of practice: General Civil, Trial Practice, Wills and Estates, Real Estate and Family Law. In addition, over the last several years, Rodney has served as mediator in a variety of legal issues, and continues to build his mediation practice.
